Liberty Threatened

Has anybody noticed this President doesn’t spend a lot of time in his office WORKING?  It seems he’s on vacation, or running to every TV station to get on the air, or going to McDonald’s with the kids … or maybe a date in NYC with his wife taking in a dinner and a show? This week, he’s off playing basketball and running on the streets of NYC while he seeks even more adoration from the world at the U.N. But not before a “jolly time” with David Letterman discussing heavy topics like his daughters’ future dating preferences.

Personally, I’d prefer he quit parading around like the “new rich kid” and go back his desk in the Oval Office and start doing some real WORK!   The campaign was over 8 months ago and he’s still acting like a rock star on the campaign trail. He has had the strategy for Afghanistan on his desk since before he went on vacation…three weeks ago!  And he is supposedly (his own words) “studying it.”

Our soldiers are  DYING each day in Afghanistan and this President  is running around NYC playing basketball and making late night jokes with Letterman?  I don’t recall this being part of the job description.  You could expect this from a Hollywood starlet, but he supposedly is the POTUS! I am sure he enjoys the new title, but  he should pend more time doing the job he was elected to do.  I would think saving the life of just one soldier would be worth canceling a run in New York City to “study the strategy” and make a decision to pull out of Afghanistan or send those brave soldiers some help. Or maybe he should cancel the “fun” with David Letterman?  I would certainly trade a soldier’s life for either of those, wouldn’t you?  Something is wrong with his priorities.

Back then they only dreamed about it … It seems the “Peaceniks” and “Flower Children” from the sixties actually survived the ordeal.  Keeping with the “Peace and Love” theme from the sixties, these people didn’t grow up, they just got older. And now a bunch of them, many of them friends with people like Bill Ayers (who blew up the Pentagon),  are sitting in the White House making life and death decisions for all of us.

And the dream comes true … Now, they are actually “living” their 1960′s pipe dream to the detriment of our very security. And they are using the same naive and misguided “Peace and Love” logic they used back then. This Administration may screw around with taking over GM and have fun experimenting with other Socialist games, but playing with the security of this nation is misguided, naive, ignorant and damned dangerous!

WASHINGTON — The U.S. shift on missile defense is part of a broader White House strategy to signal its commitment to disarmament and moving toward eventually eliminating America’s nuclear-weapons stockpile.

The strategy includes developing and enforcing treaties aimed at banning atomic-weapons testing and the production of weapons-grade nuclear fuel.

“There’s more happening this year on the disarmament front than what’s occurred over the past decade,” said a senior U.S. official working on nonproliferation issues.

The crucial first step, said U.S. officials, is the successful completion of a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with Russia by year’s end. The treaty aims to reduce the number of nuclear weapons in both countries. President Barack Obama views a signing of the treaty this year, which is by no means assured, as a key signal of its intentions to the international community and Congress.  Read the WHOLE article HERE

And the Missile Defense Shield? The Administration has decided to “go back” on the USA’s promise to place a missile defense shield in Poland. The Poles and the Czechs are angry and Poland refused a telephone contact from Hillary Clinton.  This is part of the continuing retreat of the USA in the name of “Peace and Love”. Best said here at Reuters: “With Missile Move, Obama hands Russia a Gift“.

What is the Quid Pro Quo? And what are we getting in return for dropping our defenses and our security?  The only response from Russia on our eliminating the missile shield for Poland were more demands. Now that we’ve signaled we are an easy touch, within days, they want more.

Wake up America!

Why are they doing this? You must ask yourself why is this Administration HELL BENT on destroying our country, using Socialism from within and a Peace & Love foreign policy without?  Even if you are a Democrat, you have to look at this and wonder what is this administration doing?

If you want to fix it … If you want an economy to “sing” and you want people to “whistle while they work” again, you lower taxes … you don’t create a 10 TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT!  If you want “big business” to be “corrected” … you let them fail …it is called bankruptcy … you let them fall right on their noses … you don’t bail them out and help them back on their feet! And if you want to remain safe here behind our borders, you don’t allow your borders to look like a human parade that welcomes any enemy into our midst, (and gives them emergency care!).  And you darned sure do not DROP YOUR DEFENSES in a world that would love to see us all annihilated.   So why is this administration doing this and why is this congress allowing  it?  Figure it out, I think I already have.

Wake Up America! America may really “wake up” when they get a sniff of this USA capitulation on the wind blowing from the White House.  I’m betting Independents are saying “what the hell?” and some Democrats are beginning to say, “Are you sure?”   People are simply not going to stand for this.  Time for ALL of us to start making some noise!

Relatively Quiet

I’m flying the South Carolina State Flag because today is going to be a “quiet” political day at my house.  President Obama is doing a “media sweep” in the morning hitting all the talk shows … and I’m tired of listening to him, so the new flatscreen is going to get a well-deserved rest in the morning. (Maybe the fish will be biting?)

From Mediate.com: Do you feel like you haven’t seen enough of President Barack Obama lately? It’s been nearly two days since his last speech! Well if you need your Obama fix – get ready for the Commander-in-Chief to go on the biggest media push ever: five, yes, five Sunday morning shows this weekend. But no FOX.

WH spokesman Robt Gibbs confirms Obama will appear on Sunday shows this coming weekend on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and Univision. That means FOX News Sunday is the odd show out – and Univision completes the five-show sweep. We’ll call it “El Completo Ginsburg“.

This is beyond unprecedented – according to the New York Times Caucus blog, “Newsmakers in the past have managed to pull of the unlikely feat of hitting the big three Sunday interview shows on CBS, NBC and ABC. But this is a presidential first.”

Pres. Obama and the White House may like to take shots at the media – but he sure enjoys going on their news shows. And this only furthers the divide between the administration and Fox News. It’s a striking decision by a White House that continues to talk bipartisanship, while staging what seems like a boycott of Fox and its properties.

(And he’ll be on Letterman after that … oh me!)  I believe his narcissism is beginning to show again. Oh well, at least in the afternoon we have a choice … of FOOTBALL Games:

Politically Quiet

Are you going to Enter? Of course I’m asking this question of the people in the press and media who tend to be tempted to risk $50 for the highest prize in literature.  How could I make it any easier?   Well, of course you need a subject, something that could “change the world” and you probably should be fairly literate (understanding when to use a semi colon, etc.)  Most good writers understand the semi colon rule, and most have $50 to spare … so only the subject seems illusive.  I can even help there.

Here’s an obvious subject: If Glenn Foden, a regularly contributing political cartoonist for Townhall can spot the connections, I’m betting there is at least one “investigative reporter” out there that might be capable of making that connection too.  But the deadline is approaching and there do not seem to be any entries covering this subject, thus missing the coveted Pulitzer for 2010.

A March 2, 2008, Los Angeles Times article by Letta Tayler and Keith Herbert, titled “Obama Forged Path As Chicago Community Organizer,” explored Obama’s pre-law school days as a community organizer in Chicago and his efforts to build a partnership with Chicago’s “Friends of the Parks.”"Obama’s task was to help far South Side residents press for improvement,” the Times article explained.National Review Online noted, “Part of Obama’s work, it would appear, was to organize demonstrations, much in the mold of radical groups like ACORN.”The Times article reveals that Madeleine Talbot, who at the time was a leader at Chicago ACORN, was thoroughly impressed with Obama because “he got people to vote with their feet.”

1992 Project Vote As WND reported, in 1992, while he was working as a community organizer in Chicago, Obama headed the Chicago operations of Project Vote!, an ACORN effort to register voters nationally. In Chicago, Obama had his biggest impact registering African-American voters on the city’s South Side. However, Obama’s “Fight the Smears” website disputes this, saying Obama “never organized with ACORN.”

Obama also “conducted leadership-training seminars for ACORN’s up-and-coming organizers. That is, Obama was training the army of ACORN organizers who participated in Madeline Talbott’s drive against Chicago’s banks.”

My Point is … The connections of this President to a proven corrupt organization are many and obvious.  Making those connections should be helping some struggling “investigative” reporter out there claim his fame and place in history.

Two kids with a $1,300 budget did it! Two 20-something cub reporters have darned near brought ACORN down by themselves with their undercover videos.

“James O’Keefe and friend Hannah Giles posed as a pimp and prostitute looking to evade the IRS and apply for an illegal housing loan for a brothel. The sting operation caught four ACORN workers in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., offices appearing to offer their help.” Source Fox News (who else?)

The connection to Obama is strong, he makes the connection in his own words:

Obama said 12/01/07, “Before I even get inaugurated, during the transition we’re going to being calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. We’re gonna be having meetings all over the country with community organizations so that you all have input into the agenda of the next presidency of the United States of America”

How can two “kids” pull this off a “media coup” and a “celebrity journalist like Charlie Gibson hasn’t even “heard” of the problems with ACORN:

Any wonder we have “credibility” and “significance” problem with the Fringe Media these days?  Gibson, blown away and scooped by two kids.  And then there’s poor Wolf Blitzer …

• Wolf Blitzer, (the CNN Situation Room Host) on  the Jeopardy game show piles up a near record LOWEST SCORE EVER on that show at MINUS 4600!. His horrendous debut into the world of real questions and answers was fairly good proof that this man is only reading what is handed to him .. and if he’s winging it, then its probably wrong!  (CNN – “The Most Trusted Name in News”)  Also the CNN were the folks that reported there were “more than 1000 people at the DC Rally … they got that one right!) … An Indiana University projects reports 1,798,750 estimated protesters marched in the 9-12 Project.

The Pulitzer Medal (Gold!)

The Prize is just waiting to be taken. So simple, a huge story.  They are still talking about Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward (Remember “All the President’s Men?).  They took down a sitting President with good investigative reporting … following the money and with far fewer “leads” than are even available to this small blogger.  But alas, where’s the “professional” news media … meaning the ones who get PAID to do the little job I’m doing here?

Passing up the Pulitzer. For someone in their profession, to pass up a Pulitzer because of a belief system is fairly breathtaking.  This is the opportunity of a lifetime yet they hesitate … how strong their belief in Barrack Obama must be not to reach for the Prize.  And if the belief is that strong, how can we believe ANYTHING they write?

Fringe Media. There’s a conservative move afoot to stop calling “them” the “Main Stream Media” and start calling them the “Fringe Media” … this because Fox now owns about 50% of the viewers … making the “others” nothing but “fringe.”  With “INSIGNIFICANCE” bearing down on them, wouldn’t you think one of them would break out of the pack and go for the Prize?  Yet silence. Totally amazing, even to an amateur journalist.

Talk Risking Liberty

Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker for the U S House of Representatives.  Its the third highest post in the land and one that should reflect strength and integrity.  But in an interview recently, Nancy let her “Fears and Tears” show to the world.  I don’t have a problem with a person losing it now and then, but hopefully it is for a good reason. In this case, I question the reason for Nancy’s Fears and Tears. Lets look at the video …

“I think we all have to take responsibility for our actions and our words. We are a free country and this balance between freedom and safety is one that we have to carefully balance,” she said.

“I saw,” she added, choking up, “I saw this myself in the late seventies in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was very frightening and it gave–it created a climate in which violence took place.”

I wish that we all again would curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made, with the understanding that some of the ears this is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume,” Pelosi said.

She was referring to this:

• Riots in San Francisco in the seventies were punctuated by police beatings and assassinations, most notably of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk in 1978. Milk was the first openly gay elected official in California and was shot by former supervisor and arch-conservative Dan White.  (Huffington Post)

Reporter: “Do you think there’s legitimate grass-roots opposition going on here?”

Pelosi: “I think they are Astroturf . . . you be the judge,” Pelosi answered. “They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare.”

What “triggers” Nancy’s Fears and Tears?

Its the rhetoric she is hearing today that is reminding her of the past. And because she is hearing “the new noise” … she is assuming this noise will cause violence and death.  She wants us to “curb our enthusiasm” so nothing bad happens.  That’s where her thoughts “jump the track” for me.  Oops, logical train wreck!

Reference to Hitler

The Posters: Yes, there are occasional posters and references to Hitler and Nazis. Here is one of two we saw at the march on 912.  But they are not holding up such “symbols” because this is what they BELIEVE in, it is because they HATE Nazism, Socialism, Fascism … and that is what the Democrat party is supporting today.  Nancy doesn’t understand the difference between being “called” a “National Socialist” and being a “National Socialist.” She fears these people and laments they exist … yet SHE and her views of socialism and her rhetoric  … (like this) …

… are CREATING the noise she is beginning to hear.  The rhetoric she fears is caused by people like her.  If she wants it to go away, then she has the power … stop supporting Socialism which the “noisy people” out here feel is shaking the foundations of the country they love.

Can You Hear Us Now

CAN YOU HEAR US NOW? This was the mantra chanted over and over at the 9-12 March on DC. It is in reference to people trying to get the attention of the government but not being listened to. The perfect example was CNN about 12 noon on 9-12-2009 announcing there were “more than 1000″ people at the rally in DC. (You could hear a million people laughing all around you!) The “minion media” (which will be hearing from us on Oct 17th) refuses to let us be heard.  So the mantra, “Can You Hear Us Now” will continue and the noise level will increase.

The Quiet Right: What Nancy doesn’t understand is that what she is hearing, probably for the first time, is “noise” she’s never heard before. The “Right” is usually quiet. But today, with the out-of-control socialist leanings of the present administration, the “noise level” is building.  And I believe Nancy is beginning to “Hear Us Now!”  Because it is new to her, and because she never hears this kind of noise from the “Left” coast, she fears it.  The “quiet right” is making some noise.

What she fears, she is causing: What Nancy doesn’t understand is that SHE is causing the noise! When she supports socialism and the left wing wackos of her (formerly) democratic party.  The more she supports the radical socialism of the Obama Administration, the more noise she is going to hear.  We, those of us going to Tea Parties and Rallies, are not the problem, we are the RESULT of the problem.  If she wants the noise to go away so she can allay her fears, then she needs to align herself with the Constitution of the United States of America.  Then she won’t have a reason for Tears and Fears anymore.

9-12 in History: I’m not sure history has yet recorded and understood the significance of the march on DC on 9-12.  It was bigger than the Million Man March, the pictures show it not only rivaled, but perhaps exceeded the numbers of the Martin Luther King rally.  This was HUGE, it was SIGNIFICANT and MOSTLY NOT COVERED by the main stream media.
