Stopping the Hijacking of the Republic

September 1st, 2009

The Patriot Flag I’m flying today is the Fort Moultrie flag,  here’s the reason …

Talk Risking Liberty

The Republic is being hijacked by our OWN elected officials … these are  the people WE voted for to lead our Democratic Republic. But they are leading us toward Socialism and Fascism. How did we get here? Did Democrats vote for Democrats because it was “their” team or because they “Hate Bush?”  Did 95% of blacks vote for Obama to give us the first black president?  Did 77% of Jews vote for Democrats because its “tradition.”  Did Independents vote against Republicans because of a lack of fiscal responsibility?  Did Republicans NOT vote because the party gave us John McCain, a Democrat look-alike?  The reasons for the voting always come down to an INDIVIDUAL, PERSONAL CHOICE.  And we freely voted for our choice on that day back in November.  But did we get what we voted for?  WE voted these elected officials into office … WE share the blame for what is happening to our country. WE must retake control of our Republic.

Are they doing what we expected? So, whether you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent you must ask yourself: “Are the people we elected doing what we elected them to do?”  If you are a Democrat, is this administration and congress doing your bidding … or are they straying from what you voted for and for what you personally believe? If you are an Independent and voted Democrat … is this what you expected, an administration taking over General Motors?  Many Republicans didn’t vote, and those who did reluctantly voted for a candidate that was a NOT a conservative, and probably with a screwed up primary process, is not the person you and I would have chosen. Today’s  (Rasmussen poll demonstrates 74% of Republican voters say their party’s representatives have lost touch with the GOP voters). Regardless of how you voted … is the present behavior of your elected representatives  what you expected? The approval rating from Rasmussen are suggesting the answer is “no.”  So what do we do 511,039 people we elected who are supporting ideals foreign to the fundamentals of our Republic both on the local and national levels? How do we know which ones should stay and which ones must be replaced because they are no longer doing our bidding.    57% of voters want to replace the ENTIRE congress. So you are not alone in your thinking. Here is one way to verify that each of your elected officials are doing what you expect … consider it a little “qualification test” for 2010. If they can pass it, they stay and if they cannot pass it, then they need to be replaced in 2010.

Pledge for Elected Officials

What can we do about it? One idea came from Glenn Beck who, last week, gave us a quick method for discovering whether or not the people we have elected are the same ones who should be running the country after 2010. The above graphic is from Glenn Beck’s Web Page . This is the pledge every politician who works for us should be able to agree to an sign.  And if they cannot, regardless of party affiliation (Republican, Independent or Democrat),  … then they should be gone in 2010  and we should support an active campaign for their replacement by a candidate who would sign such a pledge.  What is happening in America today isn’t about a political party anymore … its about a pledge of allegiance to the United States of America.  We should be sending this to every politician that represents us and ask them if they agree with the above 5 points.

Contact Congress Here

What are YOU going to do? This is the course I am following, but perhaps you have a different way of “correcting” the errors that we made. What ideas might YOU have to bring congress back under OUR control?  Its got to be simple and direct.  And if your idea works, will it tell you which elected officials must be replaced in 2010?
