About

The Page Layout: The heading (in blue) at the top of the blog page tells the reader which Patriot Flag I am flying that day, and there is a small depiction of that flag. (I really do fly these flags and changed them according to the blog). The top part of the page references news I have found on the Internet, all linked to the original news stories. So if you already have read that news, just skip down to The Bottom Line … that is where I add my opinions to the news I’ve found “above the line.” You are free to comment on the news above the line or my opinion below the line.

The Purpose: To make myself, and anybody else interested, aware of the latest win or loss for Freedom on an “as happens” time format. Also to keep a historical record of the events as they happen for future reference.
The Process: I mine the news, mostly from the Internet. Decide which item I feel is most important, research it, and verify it, making sure all credits are clearly linked to authors and artists. Then I post the information onto The Patriot’s Flag with my comments and opinions under THE BOTTOM LINE.
- The Flags: Based on what is happening, I choose a Patriot Flag to fly at my house based upon the tenor of the post using the flag chart, (See “The Flags” tab). When a Liberty or Freedom is lost, a black ribbon is added to the flagstaff. When a Liberty or Freedom is secured, a red ribbon is added to the flagstaff. Each ribbon is titled and dated.
The Payoff: I personally become more aware of what is happening politically. By documenting these gains and losses of Liberty, I am documenting milestones that either are leading toward Socialism or back toward Liberty. As an outward and visual sign to the world … I change the flags on my front porch as the blog changes. I also add red or black ribbons to the flagstaff when Liberty WINS or is JEOPARDIZED. By doing this I create a curiosity for “why” … and neighbors know to look at the blog for the reason.
- I believe my vote counts, but I also believe the votes of my neighbors count too. All we can do to affect the next election is convince our neighbors to vote conservative. My blog, my flags and my ribbons are how I am waging a campaign to earn the neighbors’ trust so they too will vote conservative in the next election. The changing flags create discussion … and with the blog, I know the facts. This is my little way of creating Change I can believe in!
Summary: There are probably hundreds of these kinds of blogs today, and this is just “another” one. What makes its special is that it is MINE … if I’m the only one who reads it, I will be pleased. As stated above, the output of this effort will be to document the milestones that will, hopefully, have led us to Socialism or back to Liberty. Whatever happens, if I do this correctly, at least one person will know how it happened and why.
