2010 and the Progressive Caucus

Liberty LO$TDid the 2010 Midterm election reflect a Conservative Uprising to strike down the Progressive “mandate” of Obama’s policies?  One  [side] measurement of this is the  membership list of the Progressive Caucus. Yes, a battle was won … but lets not lose sight of the war.

Below is a list of the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.  Notice out of the entire list, there are only four present members that were not involved in the 2010 campaign.  On Election evening, I tracked those who kept their job and who got fired, the results are below.  The interesting part of this effort is the analysis of “why” … in an election that swung to the right …. did these people remained standing?

The Bottom Line

Yes, it is time to celebrate this morning … there was a Conservative Tsunami that swept the nation last night (Nov 2, 2010) that changed the balance of power and may have put the brakes on Obama’s train to socialist hell. So Celebrate … enjoy the moment.

HOWEVER when the celebration is over, realize the job is far from done and there is still a SOCIALIST (Progressive) BASTION that was left almost intact after the political tsunami. The Progressive Caucus only lost 4 members out of a total of 72 … the seeds of progressivism are still planted deeply in our government.  We must not, in our jubilation, forget they are still there … waiting and politically intact and ready to continue to support Obama’s socialist idealism.

WHY? So what are the reasons these ranks “held” against the conservative tsunami? They’ve be reelected … what can we do about it? (“Nothing” is not an option, if you have weeds in your garden, you apply a herbicide or you figure out ways to pull the weeds and discard them.)

Repealing ObamaCare!

Liberty LO$TObamaCare should be repealed immediately. It was “born” of lies and deceit and was passed by a radical Democrat congress and president … AGAINST the will of the people. (Some 60+% opposing the implementation of SOCIALIZED MEDICINE).  It was not “openly discussed on C-SPAN as promised, it was actually discussed BEHIND CLOSED and LOCKED DOORS … keeping anyone with a different agenda away from the legislative process. All polls are showing the citizens’ increasing dissatisfaction with the process that was imposed and the result … Socialized Medicine. This post explores that growing dissatisfaction.

Menu to ObamaCare:

From the House Ways and Means Committee, here are 6 reasons why this legislation should be repealed immediately:

1.     ObamaCare makes health insurance MORE expensive for Americans:

a.     After having proclaimed, “If any bill arrives from Congress that is not controlling costs, that’s not a bill I can support.  It’s going to have to control costs,” President Obama has recently admitted that he “knew” the Democrats’ health care law would increase costs.

b.    According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) the Democrats’ health law will increase premiums for millions of families by up to $2,100 on average, by 2016.  This means that coverage will be $2,100 more expensive than it would have been if Congress had just left the current system alone.

c.     On September 8th the Wall Street Journal reported that health insurance companies are having to increase health insurance premiums by up to 20 percent next year, in part to comply with new federal mandates resulting from the Democrats’ health overhaul.

d.    Today, the New York Times reported that in California, rates could increase as much as 19 percent for individual policies, while in Connecticut, due to the new law, some premiums could rise as much as 22.9 percent.

2.     ObamaCare forces millions of Americans out of the health plan they have and like:

a.     Obama Administration officials predict the Democrats’ health law could force up to 117 million Americans to lose their current health plan.

b.    The effects are already being seen, as residents in Virginia have already lost access to one health care plan and many residents in Maine could lose theirs as well.

c.     ObamaCare encourages employers to eliminate worker benefits.

3.     ObamaCare discourages employers from hiring new workers, increasing wages, or retaining existing employees:

a.     The Democrats’ health care law slams employers with job killing taxes and increased costs, providing less money to small businesses to hire new workers and retain existing ones.

b.    Leading employer groups such as National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), National Association of Manufacturers, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as Business Roundtable & Business Council call the Democrats’ health care law “destructive” and “dangerous” due to the fact it has created massive economic uncertainty, will increase the cost of doing business, and does nothing to control the cost of health care.

c.     With unemployment continuing to hover close to 10 percent, Congress should work to ease the heavy burdens our small businesses have been facing.  But buried in their health care law, Democrats included a $17 billion tax increase that requires small businesses to file a 1099 tax form for every business to which they make total payments in excess of $600 for all goods and services during the tax year.  According to NFIB, “at $74 an hour, tax paperwork is the most expensive paperwork burden placed on small businesses by the federal government.”

4.     ObamaCare jeopardizes seniors’ health care:

a.     The Obama Administration’s own actuaries at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) estimated the Medicare cuts contained in the Democrats’ health law could threaten seniors’ access to care and cause providers to stop treating Medicare patients.

b.    7.4 million Medicare beneficiaries who would have been enrolled in a Medicare health plan will lose their plan because of the $206 billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage (MA) in the Democrats’ health law.  Next year alone, 1.2 million seniors will be forced out of their MA plan or prescription drug plan.

c.     Obama Administration officials predict 9 out of 10 seniors will lose their employer-sponsored retiree drug coverage and seniors enrolled in a MA plan can expect to see their benefits slashed by $816 a year in just a few short years as a result of the Democrats’ health law.

d.    CBO has estimated that Medicare prescription drug coverage premiums will increase by 9 percent as a result of the Democrats’ health law.

5.     Massive tax increases:

a.     The Democrats’ health care law contains $570 billion in tax increases and a dozen violations of the President’s pledge to not raise taxes on Americans earning less than $200,000 for singles and $250,000 if married.

b.    Through the individual mandate, Americans are forced to buy health insurance they may not want or be able to afford.  The Democrats’ bill empowers the IRS to verify if you have “acceptable” health care coverage, and, if you fail to prove you have purchased “minimum essential coverage,” the IRS has the authority to fine you up to $2,085 or 2.5 percent of your income (whichever is greater).  The IRS will need to hire up to 16,500 new employees to enforce this and other tax increases in the bill.

6.     The cost of ObamaCare keeps growing & growing and America can’t afford it:

a.     Obama Administration’s own actuaries predict that the Democrats’ new health law will increase national health care spending by over $300,000,000,000.

b.    CBO predicts that federal health care-related spending could increase by an additional $115,000,000,000 or more over 10 years to just to implement the Democrats’ new health care law.

c.     The Obama Administration recently asked Congressional Democrats for $250 million in additional funding to “increase the primary care health workforce” after finally admitting their new law will lead to a shortage of doctors.

There is now a report from the Center for Secure Policy outlining the proof that the Muslim Brotherhood has successfully infiltrated the United States Government. The Muslim Brotherhood has been active in the US since the 1960s. Its stated goals have included propagating Islam and creating havens for Muslims in the US, and integrating Muslims. A main strategy has been dawah or Islamic renewal and outreach. In the 1960s, groups such as U.S. military personnel,

prison inmates and African-Americans were specifically targeted for dawah.

The goal of the Muslim Brotherhood in the USA is:

  • The process of settlement [of Islam in the United States] is a “Civilization-Jihadist” process with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” their miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who choose to slack.

Islamic Violence and Social Intolerance

Rather than assimilating, as is our custom in the USA as the ‘melting pot’ of the world, the Muslims retain their culture strictly, forcing THEIR culture and traditions upon the USA with no exception.

If you do not agree with Islam, then you are an enemy of Islam … there is no negotiation.  Our problem in the west is or tolerance of the rest of the world … and when tolerance comes up against intolerance, intolerance will win. As the Islāmic invasion of the USA progresses, in its wake are the dead freedoms and liberties, and nothing but gains for the Jihadists.  It’s THEIR WAY or the HIGHWAY … there is no negotiation. Become a Muslim or you are an enemy of Islam and must be executed.

If they call someone a terrorist, say: “He’s a friend of mine.” Why? Because these “terrorists” are the world’[s most God-fearing people. They are the most honorable people in the world, the best people in the world. I have personally met Mullah Omar. I had the honor of meeting with Mullah Omar. This is a man who does not belong to this era. He always refused to meet with Western delegations.  He would say to them: “Go to Kabul, I am in Qandahar.”  Truly, the polytheists are impure” – if you know what I mean. “Go meet the foreign minister to talk politics. I am staying here.” This is the kind of people who are suitable for dealing with the West. As for “Ariqat, Dahlan, and their ilk – they do not benefit the nation in any way.

In the US, there are more than 300,000 white militia members who are calling to attack the federal government in Washington,  and to banish the Arabs, the Jews, and the Negroes (sic) from the US. These are racist people. They are called “rednecks.” The Ku Klux Klan. They are racists. These militias even think about bombing nuclear plants within the US. May Allah grand them success, even though we are not white, or even close to it, right? They have plans to bomb the nuclear plant at Lake Michigan. This plant is very important. It supplies electricity to all of North Africa (not a typo)  (sic). May Allah grand success to one of these militia leaders, who is thinking about bombing this plant. I believe that we should devote part of our prayers to him. We should pray that Allah grants him success, so he can complete this mission. And we will be able to visit him and congratulate him, Allah willing.

Allah stated in the Koran that the hostility between us and (the Jews) is eternal. So whoever talks about dialogue – cut off his tongue! What dialogue are they talking about?! There is no room for dialogue. Alla said that our hostility toward the Jews is eternal, then along comes someone and talks about brotherhood and so on …this contradicts the Koran. Anyone who contradicts the Koran is an infidel. Accusing people of heresy? Yes, I’m all for it. Yes, I support accusing people of heresy.

We should also defend the resistance, and not remain silent in the face of this organized campaign against the resistance  in the press of the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf, and other Arab newspapers.  There are voices expressing doubts about the leaders of the resistance. We must confront these (journalists), and prevent them from continuing this, even if it means calling them over the phone and saying to them: “Do not repeat these despicable things in your columns or your articles, or else we will take the following measures against you.”  We must resort to pressure with these people. We must not remain silent. We must not leave them to their own devices, under the pretext of freedom of expression. This is a fifth column.

Is Islam peaceful or violent? To answer as frankly: It is violent. It is a religion which was born out of violence, propagated through violence, and which is still accustomed to violence even today. This can clearly be seen by examining the teachings and record of Islam. These are the two primary means by which to judge the character of a religion on some question. You look at the established, recognized, plainly understood teachings of that religion from its holy texts, and then you look at the manner and methodology by which those most faithful to that religion carry out their obedience to their belief system. Though violence towards those of other faiths is certainly not unknown among other of the world’s religions, Islam goes further than the other religious systems of the world in that its holy texts command and commend religiously-motivated violence against unbelievers. It is not just a matter of tolerating it or of turning a blind eye. Rather, the Qur’an and the hadiths support and encourage the faithful to press violent jihad against non-Muslims.(StudyToAnswer.Net)

Islamic Violence

AnsweringIslam.org - After the events of September 11th, the issue of violence and religion has once again come into intense discussions and debate. It is our conviction that although various political, socio-economic and cultural factors have significantly contributed to the rise of violence and terrorism in contemporary fundamentalist Islam, we cannot ignore the religious dimension of this violence that goes back to the very heart and origin of Islam.  Muslims who commit acts of violence and terror in the name of God, can find ample justification for their actions, based on the teachings of the Qur’an and the sayings and examples from prophet Muhammad himself! We have often heard in the media that the relationship between Muslim terrorists and Islam is like that of KKK and Christianity. This analogy is absolutely false. Christians who have engaged in violence, are betraying the explicit teachings and examples of Jesus Christ. On the other hand, Muslims who take upon themselves to destroy their alleged enemies in the name of God, can rightly claim to be following the commands of God in the Qur’an and imitating their prophet as their role model.
