Stimulus Dollars at Work (SC)

February 24th, 2010

Today I am flying the 9 Bar Sons of Liberty flag.  I fly this flag when liberty and freedom is lost. In this case, lost to pure socialism and redistribution of wealth.  If you think it was just media hype, look at the example below. It is real, it is happening and YOU AND I are paying for it directly. Here is an excellent example of your tax dollars “at work.”  It is also an excellent reason for you to contact your representatives and tell the NO on the “jobs bill” (Stimulus II) that is coming next!  S.T.O.P. it!!!

Wateree Community Actions, Inc

  • An Empowering Facility in the Community
  • It builds, rehabilitates and weatherizes houses for clients.
  • It introduces its clients to the political process.
  • It brokers for clients to help them gain access to services and information.
  • It sponsors employment training, hands-on work experience, and does job development for clients
  • It teaches clients self-help and life skills to become self-sufficient.
  • It exposes to clients opportunities available to them
  • An Economic Enhancer in the Community, an Added Value
  • Annually it brings into the area over 11 million dollars, which translates into forty-four million dollars after turning over four times more. These dollars impact lives of citizens, taxes, governments and businesses of the community.
  • A Helping Hand to the Poor
  • It provides and helps clients get food, clothing and shelter.
  • It helps them buy prescriptive drugs.
  • It helps them pay utility bills and house rent.
  • It provides books, educational supplies, health screenings, and developmental opportunities for youth and children.
  • A Spawning Ground for Leaders of Tomorrow
  • Young children are tomorrow’s leaders in the making. The pre-schoolers of the Head Start Development Program are our youngest clients. Our emphases with these future leaders are sociable and cognitive development, nutrition and health care, family service and parent involvement in the life of their children.
  • A Source of Information and Referral
  • It collects, complies and disseminates printed information and informs the public.
  • It displays information exhibits to teach, educate, and instill appreciation
  • It coördinates and collaborates with other community entities to exchange and share ideas and resources.
  • A Source of Inspiration to those Involved
  • It has inspired many clients, employees, and volunteers to acquire career credentials and job advancements.
  • Several board and advisory council members have been inspired to private and public office on local and state levels. Their first exposure to the large picture of community needs was through involvement with Wateree Community Actions.

In Summary:

  • Wateree Community Actions is a necessary unequivocal asset to this community.

However:

  • According to the Recovery.gov website, Sumter, S.C. received $15,827,385 of our tax money. According to the same site, this money was credited with creating or saving 4.91 jobs.

$15,827,385      for     4.91 jobs!

Were did the money go?

  • The county of Sumter got $62,400. The city of Sumter got $253,828.
  • The Santee-Wateree RTA got in excess of $1,000,000.
  • The Santee Lynches regional Council of Governments got $3,103,434 for one grant and another $112,017 for a second.

Then it gets interesting.

  • Wateree Community Action Inc is awarded $700,000.
  • Then awarded $1,076,865.
  • Then awarded $6,435,805.
  • Then awarded $429,049.
  • Then awarded $244,800.
  • Then awarded $2,073,186.

Sumter County has one of the highest unemployment rates in S.C.

My findings:

The Bottom Line

Remember … the Stimulus was to create jobs. Our point here is we are showing millions of dollars given out to specific recipients and hardly any jobs to show for it. Until the jobs “show up” from the first stimulus, we shouldn’t be contemplating a Stimulus II, er “Jobs” bill!  Wateree is just a tiny example of a BILLION$ of dollars problem! We need proof the first stimulus worked before we try it again, (regardless of what we “name” it!).  There is a fear that those of us paying taxes are going to have the money taken from our needs and given to people who are not paying their taxes. Giving out documented millions to “stimulate” jobs that don’t appear only heightens that suspicion.

Why is this man, on the right, smiling? His name is Congressman Jim Clyburn, he is the United States Congressman from the 6th District of South Carolina. Mr. Clyburn is the majority whip for the US Congress. The Wateree Community Action, Inc is within his District, so the tax dollars (sans jobs!) we are questioning went to his district, so he should be smiling. He has brought value to his district.  Perhaps he should also be looking into why so much money could come into his district and only create so few jobs. I’m sure as Majority Whip, he can get to the bottom of this for us.

Why is this man, on the left, smiling? This man is Mr. Willie Bethune, the reported Executive Director of Wateree Community Action, Inc. He is probably smiling because as the reported Executive Director of the group that got the money, money that only created 2 to 4 jobs. I don’t blame Mr. Bethune or his Community Organization for taking the money. If your organization was offered $13 to $15 million “free,” (i.e. no real accountability), you’d probably take it too.  I’m betting everybody on the BOARD of DIRECTORS is smiling as they do their work.  I’m betting most of the 10-19 employees of the organization are  all smiling too. Everybody seems happy.

But Why am I Not Smiling? Some of those tax dollars were MINE and I pay my FULL TAX BILL every year … always have.  I don’t mind giving to people who need my help, and I do so often, but I do mind OTHER people giving MY money to someone without asking MY permission.  It takes all the pleasure of giving away from me, and it makes me feel a little like someone took my money … without my permission … and gave it to their friends … so those friends would support them in the next election.  Do you suppose all the employees of WCA, Inc., who are residents of the 6th Congressional District, would vote for Mr. Clyburn in the next election?  I am very suspicious MY tax dollars are buying votes for people who are committed to taking even MORE of my money to “distribute the wealth.” And I think the data at Recovery.gov certainly helps prove the point.  I would like to come away from this “Stimulus” experiment smiling too. After all, it’s my money they are using.

Go to the RECOVERY.GOV interactive map. Click on your state on the map. It comes up with dots on it each representing WHERE the money went and how many jobs it created.  Click on a dot and you get how much money was given and how many jobs were “created or saved.” The above information is just one very tiny example … the entire program is BILLION$. Once you find the dollars, look at the people who “voted” to allow those dollars to be given away with such poor return on investment.  And ask, “Are they giving the money to secure the votes?”  And, don’t just look under the rocks for Democrats … there are plenty of Republicans up to their ears in this payback also!  First, use the interactive map at Recovery.Gov to find the money. Next let the interactive map show you the DISTRICT it is in, then find out who represents that district. There’s the person with whom you should have a terse conversation … be it only for a few seconds in a voting booth next November. It might even be somebody you voted for!

What’s in your back yard? Go to Recovery.gov and when you are on your state, click on the dots looking at how many of your tax dollars were GIVEN and look at the jobs “created or saved”.  The data shows the Stimulus had NOTHING to do with jobs and everything to do with GIVING AWAY MONEY.  This is the purest form of  The “RE-distribution of Wealth.”  In this tiny example,  only $13,000,000 to $15,000,000 (out of  BILLIONS of tax dollars) was given to other people to create jobs …  and the good it did? “Jet” found 4.91 jobs, I found 2.  How many jobs could you create if you were given a few million dollars?  Now, take a look and see what they’ve buried in YOUR back yard. Go to Recovery.gov and begin your own local search for the truth. Then …

Do Something!

CitiBank – The Canary?

February 23rd, 2010

Today I am flying the Fort Moultrie Flag, it is the Patriot Flag I fly when there is discussion that risks Liberty and Freedom. Such discussion is taking place in the form of a notification made by Citibank on its statements to its customers throughout the country:

“Effective April 1, 2010, we reserve the right to require (7) days advance notice before permitting a withdrawal from all checking accounts. While we do not currently exercise this right and have not exercised it in the past, we are required by law to notify you of this change.”

Why would a bank notify their customers that they may withhold money if they believe it necessary? This is a security procedure to stop a “run” on the bank  Here is an excerpt from Page 22 of Citibank’s Client Manual:

Withdrawal Refusals

In some instances, we may refuse a request for a withdrawal or transfer from an account. The following list includes, but is not limited to, the most common reasons we might refuse such requests:

  • If we decide to require seven (7) days advance written notice …
  • From Washington;s Blog:

A top investment adviser, Harry Schultz – who was MarketWatch Peter Brimelow pick for financial newsletter of the Year in 2008 – is now claiming:

    • Some U.S. embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies; enough to last them a year. Some embassies are being sent enormous amounts of U.S. cash to purchase currencies from those governments, quietly. But not pound sterling. Inside the State Dept., there is a sense of sadness and foreboding that ’something’ is about to happen … within 180 days, but could be 120-150 days.

Investment advisor and former Army Counterintelligence officer Bob Chapman is saying the same thing, reporting on the possibility of a so-called “bank holiday” planned for late August or early September. According to Chapman’s sources, U.S. embassies around the world are selling dollars and stockpiling money from respective countries where they operate

    Four Sources on this subject:

    1. TheFutureOfCapitalism: John Stossel’s blog
    2. Business Insider: This blog “broke” the story on the subject.
    3. PrisonPlanet: Blog post by Paul Joseph Watson
    4. Washington’s Blog: American Embassies encouraged to stockpile local currencies

All four are recommended reading to understand the background and intent of Citibank’s warning to customers.

    The Bottom Line

Does anybody else think something is coming down the tracks?  Is Citibank the “canary in the coal mine” … and has its song changed?  Hmmm, Would I still be paranoid if the train ran over me? My previous thoughts on “rumblings” here:

Sembler Mall -Multicounty Business Park S. 1054 General Bill

Note: SampleText for calls to Legislators …

    Sponsors: Senators Pinckney and Malloy

    • [Provides] counties a means of funding grants to certain private entities for the purpose of defraying a portion of the cost of infrastructure related to these developments after the developments have been constructed, certain initial levels of employment have been satisfied and new sales tax revenue targets have been met and the level of investment and number of jobs required to be created before the provision of the grants is designed to avoid speculative risk and, together with demonstrated revenues, are designed to ensure that the benefit to the public in new investment and jobs will render the public the primary beneficiary of the incentive notwithstanding the incidental benefits that may be derived by the private grantees;
    • In addition to the matters specified in Section 4-1-170, the agreement relating to the designated economic development site may provide that an amount equal to three-fourths of the revenues collected in the designated economic development site from sales taxes imposed pursuant to Section 12-36-2620(1) must be paid quarterly by the Department of Revenue from the general fund of the State to the counties and allocated in accordance with the provisions of the agreement for the qualifying period, except during a suspension period.

Introduced in the Senate on January 14, 2010

Status: Currently residing in the Senate

    Comments from Senator Tom Davis:

The capital threshold in order to qualify for the infusion of public cash for this private mall is $200 million, which could be met in part by Jasper County issuing special revenue bonds (the bill doesn’t require Sembler to put up the capital; the county can) — which the county has already said in a resolution it intends to do. The state law definition of “new job” is modified in the Sembler bill so that jobs shifted from existing stores can be counted (the state’s omnibus incentive law requires that new jobs created actually be “new”). The state’s chief economist, in the formal assessment of the Sembler deal’s impact, says that no new jobs will be created, thus the need to strip the “anti-shifting” clause from the definition of “new job” in Sembler’s bill. Even the “total sales” threshold is fake, with Sembler allowed to take the highest selling two quarters in any given year and annualize it (the third and fourth quarters — which include the prime tourist season and Christmas and Thanksgiving will probably be used. Over $100 million of taxpayer money will be paid out of the state’s general fund to this private mall developer.  This is a waste of tax money and unfair to other retailers who are doing their best with their own money to stay afloat.

(What is State Sovereignty? … Patriot’s Flag Post – “Got State Sovereignty“)

(South Carolina State Sovereignty … Patriot’s Flag Post – “Getting States Sovereignty, SC”)

TO AFFIRM THE RIGHTS OF ALL STATES INCLUDING SOUTH CAROLINA BASED ON THE PROVISIONS OF THE NINTH AND TENTH AMENDMENTS TO THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

Whereas, the South Carolina General Assembly declares that the people of this State have the sole and exclusive right of governing themselves as a free, sovereign, and independent State, and shall exercise and enjoy every power, jurisdiction, and right pertaining thereto, which is not expressly delegated by them to the United States of America in the congress assembled; and

Whereas, some states when ratifying the Constitution for the United States of America recommended as a change, “that it be explicitly declared that all powers not expressly and particularly delegated by the aforesaid are reserved to the several states to be by them exercised”; and

Whereas, these recommended changes were incorporated as the Ninth Amendment, where the enumeration of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people, and as the Tenth Amendment, where the powers not delegated to the United States by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people; and

Whereas, the several states of the Untied States of America, through the Constitution and the amendments thereto, constituted a general government for special purposes and delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving each state to itself, the residuary right to their own self government. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of South Carolina, based on the above principles and provisions, hereby declares by this resolution, that any act by the Congress of the United States, Executive Order of the President of the United States, or Judicial Order by the federal courts which assumes a power not delegated to the government of the United States of America by the Constitution and which serves to diminish the liberty of any of the several states or their citizens shall abridge the Constitution. The General Assembly further declares that acts which would cause such an abridgment include, but are not limited to:

    (1)    establishing martial law or a state of emergency within one of the states comprising the United States of America without the consent of the legislature of that state;

    (2)    requiring involuntary servitude, or governmental service other than a draft during a declared war, or pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law;

    (3)    requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service of persons under the age of eighteen other than pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law;

    • The South Carolina General Assembly finds and declares that the State is experiencing an economic crisis of severe magnitude caused in large part by the unconstitutional substitution of Federal Reserve Notes for silver and gold coin as legal tender in this State. The General Assembly also finds and declares that immediate exercise of the power of the State of South Carolina reserved under Article I, Section 10, Paragraph 1 of the United States Constitution and by the Tenth Amendment, is necessary to protect the safety, health and welfare of the people of this State, by guaranteeing to them a constitutional and economically sound monetary system.

Repeal of South Carolina Subversives Act

S1167 Attempt to repeal the law that all “subversives” must register with SC under penalty of fine.

This is an “old” law that, on the Internet, is being portrayed as a new law. It was enacted in 1976 and the present activity in Columbia is to repeal it … although this is not what you will see at most sites.   The left paints this law as “active” to try and demonstrate how “backwards” we are in South Carolina.  Here are some background sites:

Illegal immigration Study Group – Brenda Flowers

Welcome to our immigration group, our objective as a group, is to work together on a local, state and national level, while researching immigration laws introduced, enacted, adopted and signed into law in the United States of America. With this research we will implement and enforce passed legislation in South Carolina with our South Carolina elected officials.

Other States that are passing immigration laws on state and local levels are seeing their illegal alien population decline. But illegal aliens and their families are migrating to states that are behind in passing affective immigration legislation.

    SAVE Act HR 4088

House Minority leaders are now introducing a, “discharge Petition,” to bring the Secure America through Verification of Enforcement (SAVE) Act (HR 4088). This petition will force Speaker, Nancy Pelosi and her constituents to vote on the floor of the House of Representatives. There are now 141 House members who have signed on as cosponsors, we need 218 to sign the petition. Call your Capitol Switchboard today at 202-225-3121 to reach your Representative and tell them to sign.

BTP Patriots’ Book Study Group – Tea Party Patriot Needed!

    • We are currently looking for a discussion leader for the Book Club.  At the last meeting 14 Patriots bought their copy of The 5000 Year Leap, and expressed an interest in a Book Club.  If anyone is interested in being the discussion leader for the Book Club, please let Mary Lou know at the March 5th meeting or e-mail teapartybluffton@live.com.
    • Update: We received another shipment of books and will have them for sale at the meeting this Friday. So far 16 Patriots have expressed an interest in a discussion group on The 5000 Year Leap.  We found an easy-to-use, yet comprehensive, study guide, and we are looking for a discussion leader or leaders. If you would like to be one of the discussion leaders, please let Mary Lou know at Friday’s meeting.  We could rotate discussion leaders if there are several of us who want to take turns. There’s a lot of “meat” in this book, so it looks like the group may want to cover the discussion in 3 or 4 sessions, or even more.

    Conservativism – The Divided Attack

    February 22nd, 2010

Today I am flying the South Carolina flag. This is a flag I fly when politics are relatively quiet.  (As a sideline, Obama is presenting the dead body of the health care plan to Republicans who are reviewing the corpse).  But more interesting is a little poll at Elective Decisions (A WordPress blog).  The poll’s question brings up an interesting topic of discussion, the divided approach of Conservatism.

The South Carolina State Flag is the last surviving "Civil War" banner. It is a Palm Tree, the SC State Tree, but it is not a crescent moon. It is something else entirely! Click on the flag for the details.

    Politically Quiet

Asking us to choose: The poll question asks: Who advances Conservatism more, Glenn Beck or Mark Levin? Then you vote on one of the two choices.  Too bad there wasn’t a “both” button.  Because people who understand the subject would have overwhelming made that choice. The blogger goes on to state:

Here at Elective Decisions, we stand firmly behind Mark Levin, but we want to know what you think. So we’re asking who represents conservatism more in the context of the current comments by Mark Levin and Bill Bennett.

Notice the blogger has “chosen a side”.  And “divisiveness is created.” … or so it seems, but there is more to this story …  because divisiveness is GOOD!

Divisiveness doesn’t just happen, it is created. Two people having different thoughts about the same thing. However, in this rare case of a populist movement in our midst,  divisiveness is the key tactical strength  of the movement.

The subject  is Conservatism. The Conservatism doesn’t change, Conservatism is what it is.  But different people can have different “perspectives” of it.  Choosing to look at the same important and agreed-upon topic from different perspectives is educational. Many different perspectives of the same thing add to our knowledge base. But to choose which perspective is best? That’s where this topic flies off course. Beck and Levin BOTH have a different view of the same thing. Looking at it through their different points of view allows us to expand our own understanding of Conservatism. No matter if you agree and support one or the other … Conservatism doesn’t change, only your approach to it.

Tea Party Parallel: There’s a parallel with the Tea Party Movement. Everybody seems to be approaching the “goal” via a different route, who is right?  The news media loves to pick up on the “divisiveness” within the movement coupled with the fact that it is “leaderless.”  So who’s approach is “the best?” People forget these “different” approaches are all trying to go to the same place … the common (core) belief is the protection of the Constitution and stopping out-of-control taxation. However, people will quite naturally take different routes to the same goal.

For example. Lets meet in New York, at Sardi’s (I’ll buy).  I demand to take a boat. It is comfortable, there’s one leaving in an hour from Savannah, and it is my favorite way to travel. Therefore I am deciding that we take a boat. But you live in Nevada … what impact does my “demand” for the method of travel have to do with you? It doesn’t fit. You have different circumstances, perhaps even ones I cannot fathom (pardon the pun). But in the end, the goal to have a great dinner together at Sardi’s in New York,  the mode of transportation is not important. Your goal is to enjoy the dinner and watch me pick up the tab … how you get there is of no importance.

    Pick your Brigade! Attack!

Conservatism is a 360 Degree attack on Progressivism! We need to sit back and ENJOY all the different approaches to the same thing, in fact we should encourage even more.  We have a “divided approach” and because of this, we are coming at them from 360 degrees, attacking from all sides.  And this is what causes the total frustration for the liberals and progressives that want to attack Conservatism and stop this “movement.” Carville and Clinton are coming after the Tea Party People.!  … oh yeah?  Put yourself in their shoes, what would you “attack” next. There is no leader, there are thousands of  armies and issues, you are being attacked on all fronts with thousands of  different weapons and tactics.

Attack? Doubtful, it would be best for them to watch their “360!”   Shut down the Tea Party Patriots and Freedom Works comes at you from a different direction. And on and on. We are many armies of Patriots that have the enemy identified and surrounded. I’ll attack from here, you from there. You carry Levin’s brigade banner, I’ll carry Beck’s.  And I’ll meet you at the progressive surrender ceremony in Nov. 2010!

Join a “Division,”  Raise its banner and follow it …

Enjoy the War … no matter how you fight it.

    The Bottom Line

In this post, my “Bottom Line” is ABOVE the line. And my thanks to Elective Decisions for creating the thought and starting the discussion.

The Tea Party – My POV

    February 17th, 2010

Today I am flying the Gadsden Flag … a Patriot Flag I fly when The Patriot’s Flag discusses either Taxes or Tea Parties. A “Conservative Who’s Who” group has convened at Mt. Vernon (2:30 PM EST, Feb 17, 2010) to sign the Mt. Vernon Statement, posted below.  This is a historical repeat of the Sharon Statement, a similar action that was taken in September 11, 1960. That statement basically started the Conservative Movement. The Mt Vernon Statement is trying to restart the movement, the text follows:

Constitutional Conservatism: A Statement for the 21st Century
We recommit ourselves to the ideas of the American Founding.  Through the Constitution, the Founders created an enduring framework of limited government based on the rule of law. They sought to secure national independence, provide for economic opportunity, establish true religious liberty and maintain a flourishing society of republican self-government.
These principles define us as a country and inspire us as a people. They are responsible for a prosperous, just nation unlike any other in the world. They are our highest achievements, serving not only as powerful beacons to all who strive for freedom and seek self-government, but as warnings to tyrants and despots everywhere.
Each one of these founding ideas is presently under sustained attack. In recent decades, America’s principles have been undermined and redefined in our culture, our universities and our politics. The self-evident truths of 1776 have been supplanted by the notion that no such truths exist. The federal government today ignores the limits of the Constitution, which is increasingly dismissed as obsolete and irrelevant.
Some insist that America must change, cast off the old and put on the new. But where would this lead — forward or backward, up or down? Isn’t this idea of change an empty promise or even a dangerous deception?
The change we urgently need, a change consistent with the American ideal, is not movement away from but toward our founding principles. At this important time, we need a restatement of Constitutional conservatism grounded in the priceless principle of ordered liberty articulated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
The conservatism of the Declaration asserts self-evident truths based on the laws of nature and nature’s God. It defends life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It traces authority to the consent of the governed. It recognizes man’s self-interest but also his capacity for virtue.
The conservatism of the Constitution limits government’s powers but ensures that government performs its proper job effectively. It refines popular will through the filter of representation. It provides checks and balances through the several branches of government and a federal republic.
A Constitutional conservatism unites all conservatives through the natural fusion provided by American principles. It reminds economic conservatives that morality is essential to limited government, social conservatives that unlimited government is a threat to moral self-government, and national security conservatives that energetic but responsible government is the key to America’s safety and leadership role in the world.
A Constitutional conservatism based on first principles provides the framework for a consistent and meaningful policy agenda.
It applies the principle of limited government based on the rule of law to every proposal.
It honors the central place of individual liberty in American politics and life.
It encourages free enterprise, the individual entrepreneur, and economic reforms grounded in market solutions.
It supports America’s national interest in advancing freedom and opposing tyranny in the world and prudently considers what we can and should do to that end.
It informs conservatism’s firm defense of family, neighborhood, community, and faith.
If we are to succeed in the critical political and policy battles ahead, we must be certain of our purpose. We must begin by retaking and resolutely defending the high ground of America’s founding principles.

    The Bottom Line

The Mission of the Mt Vernon Statement is to restart the Conservative Movement … which is already in high gear … only we call it the Tea Party Movement.  The statement has fine ideas and sets high ideals … I like it. But it is not “my” statement and it will not affect how I help organize the April 15th Tea Party in my area … I’ve got my own ideas.  (This is why they describe  this movement as “grass-roots” and “populist.”)

The American Thinker: Populist Constitutionalism and the Tea Party You should read this article as background. What Larry Anderson is stating is that unlike a political party, the Tea Party movement is a “populist” movement … it is, by definition, leaderless.  Probably the best example of the power of such a movement came just before and during the Prohibition era. That classic “populist” movement … totally leaderless … built sufficient energy to change the Constitution TWICE!

    Tea Party Patriots

“Populism” has an “idea” at its center and as its soul. In the case of Prohibition, the central idea was alcohol.  In the present Tea Party Movement, the central theme is “adherence and protection of the Constitution.”  It is around this central theme that people are gathering and gaining strength.  It is not gaining strength and energy because of  a charismatic leader (we’ve had enough of that this year!) …  the energy permeates from a single idea.  And and idea cannot be put in jail, sued or even killed.  The power of a populist movement is that its leaders cannot be sought out, targeted, and destroyed. This is why it is impervious to the Alinsky approach of the Progressives that would attack the movement.  The Tea Party movement baffles them because there is no ‘target’ … no ‘head to cut off.

The Tea Party People and Party and Leader-Independent. The Tea Party People I know don’t want anything to do with a party, and they resent someone stepping forward to be a “leader.”  When Micheal Steel met with some “leaders” of the Tea Parties … Tea Party People went a little nuts wondering who anointed these people to speak for them?  That attitude is what makes the movement stay independent and it is also the attitude that gives the Tea Party Movement its strength … and is its ultimate defense.  Trying to form a “party” from this movement would kill the  momentum, and that is why that ideas is flatly rejected. (See Beware -Poison in the Tea?, this blog).

BigGovernment.com: Big Government has learned that Clintonistas are plotting a “push/pull” strategy. They plan to identify 7-8 national figures active in the tea party movement and engage in deep opposition research on them. If possible, they will identify one or two they can perhaps ‘turn’, either with money or threats, to create a mole in the movement. The others will be subjected to a full-on smear campaign.

Attack What? The Clintonistas (Carville, et all) can’t attack. What are they going to attack? There is no person, no organization, no headquarters to attack. They want to pick out “7 or 8 leaders of the movement” … this demonstrates they are trying to apply ideological Alinsky offense and clearly demonstrates little understanding what is happening.  I’m in the “movement” … and I HAVE NO LEADER!  All they can do is “attack the idea.”  The Alinsky Rules for Radicals doesn’t work against an idea, it is designed to be used against people, leaders and organizations. In fact it is defeated by ideas. So who in the Tea Party Movement they are going to attack? “Me?” They don’t even know who I am. I was one of 1,750,000 people at the 912 March on Washington … and Obama said he was “unaware” we were even there. The “attack” by the Clintonistas and Carville will be fun to watch and those of us in the Tea Party Movement have a front row seat.  Ever want to see a bunch of libs go tilting at the proverbial windmills?  Now’s your chance … I cannot wait for the attack to begin, its about time we started having some FUN! It will be a circular firing squad.

Note: … this is exactly why the Tea Party Movement  must stay a “populist” movement and not be allowed to be usurped by any leader or organization. Those who wish to attack will have no target. In our case, if someone does attempt to take over the movement and become a leader, they instantly become a target of the Alinskyites and the libs will take them down for us … inadvertently doing OUR bidding.

    Pure Energy

The Tea Party Movement is ENERGY. Think of the political parties as vehicles.  Each has features you may like or not, so you tend to choose one or the other. (Those features are the platforms … that none of them follow!). But the ENERGY that makes these “vehicles” go forward is the ENERGY of the people.  Many people have left both the Democrat and Republican Party, some were Libertarians and were never a part of either.  So “outside” the vehicle is this massing ENERGY that, if tapped will make the vehicles (parties) go fast!  It is normal for the Parties and Leaders to reach out and try to “tap” the energy for their own use.  But in the case of a populist movement, the Energy refuses to be tapped because its “forward motion” comes from its own energy and there is no need for the traditional vehicles.  And those in the movement resist such leadership and energy usurpation because they have seen it cut their effectiveness in the past.

Statements are fine, however… The Sharon Statement and now the Mt Vernon Statement are all good ideas, reminding us of our some of the aspects of our mission. But all we need to remember is the central idea … the Protection of the Constitution of the United States.” And we will strongly object to any outside force that jeopardizes or usurps that idea. The Mt Vernon Statement is interesting, however we will reject  allowing the “leaders” who signed the statement any power over our energy.  We do not need leaders.

It is working! We took Virginia, we took New Jersey, we took Massachusetts, Obama’s polls are in free-fall, the Democrat Congress has an approval ratio of 15%.  Democrats are fleeing office because they will be THROWN out in November and the know it. They are so desperate they are sending  James Carville after us to start a circular firing squad while we enjoy the show.  The success we have had are not because of a leader or an organization, those successes are happening because we lack both.  We are doing this ONE TEA PARTY AT A TIME.

The Candidates we will Vote for will get our “energy” ONLY if they accept OUR standards.
