A Little Tea Party Lesson

We keep seeing Tea Party groups giving endorsements to candidates.  And every time they do it, they walk away with a black eye. It happened again today in Hilton Head South Carolina.  The local Tea Party group on the island offered to hand out copies of the Constitution to grade school children … a warm and patriotic act … EXCEPT, on every copy the was a stamp that said “Compliments of Joe Wilson” (a Republican Candidate for Congress), a “sly” little political move.  And as predicted, the local paper (The Island Packet) came out this morning with a headline …”Tea Party’s Constitution Offer Declined”.  This paper is basically a regurgitation of AP news with a left-leaning bias. So the paper “did its job” by its own standards and reported this “incident” correctly and with excellent accuracy. But look again at the headline, notice they didn’t say Constitution COPY … nah, that doesn’t grab headlines … let’s associate the Tea Party with a “Declined Constitution.”   Give the left-leaning media an opening, they’ll take it every time.

Truesdale Acted Correctly The School Superintendent, Valerie Truesdale announced that they would decline the offer from the Tea Party, but would get “free copies” from the government and pass those out to the children.  Truesdale did the right thing. We should not be posing political candidates to school children in the lower grades.  Her solution to the problem was an excellent one.  The children will still receive the copy of the Constitution along with Declaration of Independence … FREE from the US Printing office.  Had a Republican or an Independent seen such a thing offered with a Democrat’s name on it (or “Compliments of Obama”) handed out to the children,  there would have been outrage.  And there should be DESERVED outrage at this, even outrage at the attempt. Talk about “indoctrinating the children!”  Teach them the Constitution  in school, but let them “learn” the politics when they get old enough understand.

Tea Party Mission Statement

The Tea Party group in question has continued to push REPUBLICAN candidates, even holding rallies specifically for the Republicans.  It is the opinion of The Patriot’s Flag that this is NOT the purview of a Tea Party group … that is the Purview of the local REPUBLICAN CLUB and if you want to push candidates, you do it through the latter, not the former.  And this is the reason for that opinion …

It is tempting to “promote” a candidate when you see one that mostly is in agreement with your mission and core values … but as soon as you do this, you are PROMOTING A PARTY, and you get everything that comes along with it.    In this case, it’s the Republican Party, (which in South Carolina gives you the excess baggage of Lindsey Graham)  … so if you are an Independent or a “wavering” Democrat … this is the same as supporting the Republican Party … and you till tend to back your support away from such a group. The Tea Party should be doing everything in its power to gain members from all political diversities, not alienating them. Ask a Democrat why s/he doesn’t join the local Republican Club … the reason is the same for why that same Democrat won’t join a Tea Party Group if it is pushing Republicans!

Tea Party Group Dynamics: This is all discussed in detail on the Patriot’s Flag Post “Tea Party Group Dynamics” and specifically in the section “The Hijacking of Energy.”  People see and comprehend the power of having the Independents and “born again” Democrats on their side, so they infiltrate the Tea Party movement and direct it toward their Party of Choice … and too often it is the Republican Party. This is why many Democrats and Independents veer away from the Tea Party … it is thought to be a Republican “hang-out” … which is is NOT!

This is only a “Little” Tea Party Lesson, it will not have national consequences, but it is a teaching moment. If the Tea Party doesn’t stay TRUE to its mission and core values (which says nothing about endorsing a Republican or a Democrat), then the “left-leaning” press will jump on it every time to score another black eye for the “Tea Party Activists.”

Tea Party Meetings: The purpose of the Tea Party meeting is to disseminate information to people who want to learn more about their government and their potential candidates.  If you are a Democrat (of your “father’s Democrat Party ilk”)  … then you can find a home in the Tea Party too.  If you are a Conservative Independent (like me), you are comfortable rubbing shoulders with others who do not like the direction of the country, want to do something about it. But you DO NOT want to give your support to the Republican or Democrat Party.

It is too bad the Hilton Head Tea Party got hijacked and has become a pseudo Republican Club, it is too bad the left-leaning Island Packet picked it up this situation and used it to give the “Tea Party” (all of us!) a little black eye.  It was a CORRECT move by Supt. Valerie Truesdale to order copies of the Constitution from the Government Printing Office and hand them out. (Good political move on her part).  But wouldn’t it have been great if the headline read “Tea Party Offers Free Copies of the Constitution to Grade School Students  and the Offer Accepted by the School Board.” But that didn’t happen, instead a “sly” political move on the part of a Republican-Party-Promoting Tea Party Group gave the rest of us an undeserved black eye.

The Bottom Line:

  • Funding: Keep in mind you can PRIVATELY SUPPORT a candidate with your dollars … you do not have to send your money to an affiliated party to get the job done.  I send my contributions to Jim DeMint, but not to the GOP … I don’t want Lindsey getting a penny, he does not represent me, my mission, or my personal core values.

(Example: Supporting the GOP in South Carolina means you are supporting Lindsey Graham … not me! And if our group came out pushing the GOP, color me “GONE!”. )

  • Endorsing a Candidate: In the end, a True Tea Party Patriot does eventually endorse a candidate … IN THE VOTING BOOTH!

SHARI’A … The “word” keeps quietly appearing and most people in the West do not know what the word means. It is certainly encountered more frequently on the Internet than in the Main Stream media … which trips a danger signal for anyone who understands Media Bias … If you don’t hear about it openly, then we’ve learned it is being hidden from you.  So What is Shari’a Law … why is Europe all upset about it, why is Indonesia being torn apart by it, why is it considered “dangerous” here?  On this post, we look only at the tip of the iceberg … giving the reader many references to go discover more about the Islāmic Shari’a Law. Shari’a is happening in the USA … take heed, Americans. Shari’a is the antithesis of Liberty and Freedom.

Background Discussion

GeoPolitical Goal of Islam: The geopolitical goal of Islam is “dar es-salaam” … or “house of peace.”  This is a state when Muslims are in the majority of a society and therefore the government protects them giving them “peace” or a “haven of peace.”  Muslims are sworn to do “what is necessary” to achieve this state of peace. To achieve dar es-salaam, the Muslims must “take over” the host country, converting infidels, or doing “what is necessary” through violent jihad or Al-Takeyya to become the  spiritual majority. We can see this nearly completed in Lebanon, in various stages in Europe and Indonesia and beginning in the USA.

Islam is the New Communism: This is has been a difficult road, because Americans are benevolent and naïve concerning Islam. They are used to freedom of religion and they find it hard to condemn one. And that is precisely the problem, Americans see Islam as only a religion. It is not just a religion, it is also a sophisticated, detailed political ideology with the expressed goal of taking over the entire world by any means at its disposal, even if it includes lying and killing. Americans need to think of it as a social/political ideology, but they are so used to separating religion from politics (which was a first at the time of our country’s founding) that they keep giving Islam the benefit of the doubt.

Separation of church and state is something we take for granted. Islam does not separate the two. And Islam is the new Communism. In order to win any war, one must know who the enemy is and have the courage to do what is necessary. As Paul Hsieh said in his article it is important to commit to victory and win the war. But that won’t happen until our enemy is clearly defined in the American mind.

It starts unnoticed and quietly, like a fatal illness. Life as it is lived goes on until finally the illness becomes apparent, then it is too late. Example: [Christian] Lebanon. It starts with liberals being social elitists promoting “religious freedom” .and diversity. Little things, begin to appear, the meat in schools where Muslims would attend must be Halal, etc.  Attempts by the ACLU to allow full Burkas for driver’s license pictures. The reason? Religious Freedom! (Thankfully judicially rejected for the time being). But they will appeal and keep trying … it’s just a slow creeping invasion into our way of life, our beliefs, our freedoms.  It will always start where the most liberal live and allow the practices … Bloomberg’s NYC, Detroit … where ever it is people are either “diversity elitists” or are too uninformed to care. The people out in “fly over” country will not know it is happening until the Islāmic beach head is established in the liberal, soon-to-be Islāmic enclaves in the USA.  The Ground Zero Mosque is an indicator, Bloomberg’s “elitist attitude” another. I will be listing the indicators in this post, check back often to see the latest. And there will be a “latest” because it IS HAPPENING HERE.

Law Governing Islam: Islāmic religious law that governs not only religious rituals, but aspects of day-to-day life in Islam. Sharia, literally translated, means “the way.” There is extreme variation in how Sharia is interpreted and implemented among and within Muslim societies today. D. Finance under Shari’a

Under Shariah Islāmic law, making money from money, such as charging interest, is usury and therefore not permitted. Wealth should be generated only through legitimate trade and investment in assets. But investment in companies involved with alcohol, gambling, tobacco and pornography is strictly off-limits. There is a great deal of money in the Islāmic World. But the only way there can be transactions with it is if those transactions are done under strict Shari’a guidelines. Shari’a financial guidelines are poisonous to Capitalist guidelines (profit, etc).  But, with greed leading the way, Capitalists greedily swallow the sweet poison pill to relinquish their guidelines and adopt those of Shari’a … why? Because that’s the only way they can get at the Muslim Money.  So they prostitute themselves, give in to Shari’a … and the cancer creeps into the very foundations of Western Freedom and Democracy.

E.  Shari’a Social Regulation

Sharia law controls every aspect of the individual’s life. Under Sharia, leaving Islam is punishable by death. Under Sharia, when a woman is raped, she receives the death penalty for adultery while nothing happens to the rapist. That’s why Sharia law appeals to rapist and gets rapists to be radical Islamists. That’s a large part why Jihadist Fascism thrives in our [America's] prisons. Sharia law is a totalitarian set of laws that contradicts the US constitution and the vision of the Founding Fathers. America is now becoming a victim of radical Islam. The cultural jihad is a monster that’s absorbing whatever it can with this Jihadist indoctrination. It seeks to eliminate “Western civilization from within and ’sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions” [1991 Muslim Brotherhood memo]. Once in control, Shari’a is imposed on those not in control.

F. Sharia Law-Islam’s Intolerance (our way or highway!)

Rather than assimilating, as is our custom in the USA as the ‘melting pot’ of the world, the Muslims retain their culture strictly, forcing THEIR culture and traditions upon the USA with no exception. If you do not agree with Islam, then you are an enemy of Islam … there is no negotiation.  Our problem in the west is or tolerance of the rest of the world … and when tolerance comes up against intolerance, intolerance will win. As the Islāmic invasion of the USA progresses, in its wake are the dead freedoms and liberties, and nothing but gains for the Jihadists.  It’s THEIR WAY or the HIGHWAY … there is no negotiation. Become a Muslim or you are an enemy of Islam and must be executed.

G.  Islamic Violence – Religion of Peace?

Is Islam peaceful or violent? To answer as frankly: It is violent. It is a religion which was born out of violence, propagated through violence, and which is still accustomed to violence even today. This can clearly be seen by examining the teachings and record of Islam. These are the two primary means by which to judge the character of a religion on some question. You look at the established, recognized, plainly understood teachings of that religion from its holy texts, and then you look at the manner and methodology by which those most faithful to that religion carry out their obedience to their belief system. Though violence towards those of other faiths is certainly not unknown among other of the world’s religions, Islam goes further than the other religious systems of the world in that its holy texts command and commend religiously-motivated violence against unbelievers. It is not just a matter of tolerating it or of turning a blind eye. H. Islamic and Shari’a Infiltration into Society

[Muslim] imperialism is still going on today. Islam is still trying to conquer new territory and bring it into Dar es-Salaam, whether by sword or by money. Muslim radicals regularly terror bomb targets in Indian Kashmir in an effort to force the Indians out and unite that region with Pakistan. Muslims in Nigeria are imposing shari’a law in many northern states in that country, in violation of Nigerian law, and impose this on the many non-Muslims in those states. Muslim fanatics are operating a guerilla war in the Philippines, with the stated aim of setting up a Muslim state in Mindanao. In southern Thailand, Islāmic radicals are perpetuating a terror campaign of bombs and beheadings against the Buddhist majority in an effort to carve out an Islāmic state. Monetary bounties are offered to people in South Africa for conversions to Islam. Even in the West, Muslim leaders at various times have stated their goal of bringing Europe and America into the fold of Dar es-Salaam, and much Muslim literature emphasizes the eventual conquest of the West (and the rest of the world) for Islam. I.  Resistance to Shari’a (…is dangerous)

APOSTASY: definition of apostasy is “leaving, departing away from, or deserting, one’s religion.” Arabic “irtidad”. Traditional Islāmic law prescribes the penalty of death for a Muslim who commits apostasy. The punishment is not stated in the Quran, but is said to be based on certain Hadith. The Quran does not come out and state explicitly that apostates should be killed. However, there are a number of Quranic verses that pertain to apostasy and various Muslim scholars found in them the justification to execute apostates. (So resist at your own risk!)

GZ Mosque-A Symbol for Islam?

Liberty LO$TA new “Symbol” is proposed for the Ground Zero area … an Islamic Cultural Center. The  $100 complex is proposed for a location 2 blocks from 911′s “Ground Zero,” 2 blocks from where 3000+ people were killed by radical Islamic Terrorists, an area symbolic of the greatest achievement of Islamic Jihadism. Many believe putting a “cultural center” anywhere near this area is nothing more than a monument of victory for the terrorists of 911.

Technically, “they” are saying this is not a “mosque” … it’s a cultural center with an area for prayer. Maybe this is why …

A mosque, totally unlike a church or a synagogue, serves the function of orchestrating and mandating every aspect of “life” in a Muslim community from the religious, to the political, to the economic, to the social, to the military. In Islam, religion and life are not separate. They are indivisible. In Islam religion is not just a part of life, but “life” is absorbed and regulated to the tiniest detail by religion (See Figure 1). In other words every aspect of a man or woman’s life must be defined and governed by religion. So there is no concept of personal choice whatsoever, or in theological terms, there is no “free will,” but only limited preferences between prescribed courses of action. In addition, there is no concept of a personal relationship between the person and the entity being worshiped, so “worship” itself, is of a different nature than that performed in a church or synagogue.

But in this case it is “not a mosque, it is an “Islamic Cultural Center (that just happens to have an included prayer area).”  Perhaps this is even more insidious than an actual mosque, just another example of Islamic Al-Takeyya. So the “Islamic Cultural Center” is only a symbol … but of what?

The Symbolism of the Location: Feisal Abdul Rauf is the imam behind the “Cordoba Initiative” that is spearheading plans to build a $100 million Islamic center at Ground Zero, the site where nearly 3,000 Americans were killed by jihadists on 9/11. He is also the author of a book called What’s Right with Islam Is What’s Right with America. But the book hasn’t always been called that. Symbolism of the Name: Cordoba Mosque: The scheduled construction of the ‘Cordoba House’, more widely known as the ‘Ground Zero Mosque’, is meeting some stiff resistance from a growing number of Americans for not only its location but what its name alludes to. In fact, developers even tried to rename the mosque because of what people were learning about it.  Cordoba, a city in Spain, was conquered by Muslims in the early 8th century. Upon capturing the city, Muslims began construction on the first ‘Cordoba House’. Prior to that, Spain, at the time a Christian nation, was a symbol of western civilization. Once it had fallen to Islam, the first ‘Cordoba House’ became an Islamic symbol of conquest.  Former Muslim terrorist Walid Shoebat, has made it his life’s work to warn westerners about the true intentions of Islam and insists the Islamic mindset has not changed, even after twelve centuries. Shoebat insists that the name chosen for the ground zero mosque is not an accident; it is intentionally provocative for a reason. It is a statement to Muslims that could embolden many of them.

President Barack Hussein Obama Statement: “As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country,” Obama told an intently listening crowd gathered at the White House Friday evening to observe the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. “That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances,” he said. “This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable.”

Patriot’s Flag Comment: Barack Hussein Obama was trained as a Muslim in his early life. That early training still defines his outlook on life today. The man was a Muslim, the man is a Muslim, the man is doing everything in his power, against the will of 70% of the people to create an Islamic dar es-salaam right her in the United States of America. This man is an enemy of Liberty and Freedom … we need no more proof than this. For the safety of the United States, Obama, and any politician supporting his views must be removed from office.

Obama is leading his supporters (some probably unknowingly) toward the goals of Islam … any person supporting Obama was thus represented at that dinner and now must either avow or disavow his statement. There is now a direct link between Obama supporters and the Islamic threat. If you support Obama, you are supporting the furtherance of Islam and Shari’a as the dominant governing force for the United States. Democrats who support this President have  now become “Islamists.”  They are enemies to Liberty and Freedom.

The proposed “Cordoba Mosque” probably should now be renamed the “Obama Mosque” to thank him for his support and to solidify the link of Obama to Islam … he will be a Presidential Symbol of Islam, and this should be his legacy.

The Bottom Line

I Believe … The Obama Administration not only has successfully withdrawn from the War on Terrorism, then are actually supporting terrorists through unsecured borders and “reaching out” to Muslims.  We are going to be “giving in” without a fight … and that’s UN-American. And now he has thrown is support behind the Mosque at Ground Zero indicating his support for the Islamic Community and thus supporting the further infiltration of Shari’a here in the United States of America. If the construction of the “Obama Mosque” is allowed to proceed, this will be his legacy.

Damage-Oil, Media or Gov?

Liberty LO$TSo lets now look back and summarize the BP Spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  What was the total physical and economic damage to the Gulf Coast area?  Jobs, marshes, fishing, tourism … lets add it all up into a single number.  Now lets separate that total into two groups: (1) Cost of Damage caused by the oil and (2) Cost of Damage caused by the media hype and wrong government responses. (For a complete listing of the links with summaries see THIS).

The Gulf has basically healed itself (with a little boost from some dispersants). The marshes will heal, new “sprouts” have already been documented. But the lingering damage is not physical … it is economic, who “caused” that damage?

The Patriot’s Flag Summary: As the causes for the BP explosion and leak are studied carefully to prevent a re-occurrence , so should an intense study be done of the inaccurate media reporting (hyped up, we’re-all-gonna’-die, the-gulf-is-poisoned) and knee-jerk government reactions (stop the drilling, stop the fishing, etc) that STILL is causing a huge economic disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.  I contend that the damage done by the media and the government far exceeds the damage done by BP and the oil leak.

I documented the “spill” at The Patriot’s flag (BP Update Page)… most of the major news links are there (over 150 of them!) and each has a mouse-over summary.  You can quickly go over the page and get the “feel” for the disaster. There is no doubt your conclusion will be similar to mine.  The damage done by the leak was insignificant compared to the damage created by inaccurate reporting and inappropriate government action.

Let’s look closely at the reporting vs the truth:

  • “Poisonous Dispersants”: The Dispersants didn’t poison the Gulf (and they are NOT TOXIC), they aided in the dispersion and eventual biodegradation of the oil (as dispersants have done safely for 20+ years!). Full coverage of the dispersants HERE (Dispersants and the Piper)
  • Beach Oil and Tourism: Some oil got to the beaches, but the beaches were not blackened and ruined for generations by the leaking oil.  It simply did not happen.  The result of the reporting was a huge “hit” in tourism that hurt the tourism industry.
  • Global Pollution: The leak did not extend to the east coast of Florida and the USA, potentially moving in the Gulf Stream up toward northern Europe.  Evidence of it even getting to the West Coast of Florida is sketchy.  This simply didn’t happen. (Charlotte Observer Post). This was nothing but “hype” reporting.
  • Stopping the drilling (government moratorium) did not solve any problems, it only caused severe economic problems for people who worked in that industry. (Drilling Moratorium is a Jobs Moratorium)
  • Stopping the fishing, this action too is in doubt … the seafood “might have been poisoned” … but it wasn’t. It has been deemed “safe”. Of course you don’t go fishing in an oil slick, but unlike the media pictures, the oil wasn’t everywhere … in was in specific locations (and has since all dissipated).  Fishing could have been done safely just by not fishing in the slicks.

The Bottom Line

So Who should pay for the economic losses? Those who causes the losses should pay for the losses. The damage caused by the news media and the government far exceeded the damage done by the oil leak. Rather than BP being forced to PAY for 100% of the economic losses, the news media should pay for it, (or be eliminated as a news source), and those in government that caused the economic losses should be removed from office immediately. This would probably leave BP with having to cover only about 10% of the economic losses.  Why should they pay for losses they did not cause?

Post of Free Republic: But I’m a Tea Bag Conservative, one can’t have the gov paying for it, (because I’m the “government” and I pay for it as a taxpayer). The media’s deep pockets should be emptied just as BP’s was emptied. A good lesson for them. So what do you do if someone causes damage but doesn’t pay? You put them in jail, and most certainly you put them out of business.

PS: “Yes but …”

…but BP caused the spill so they are responsible for everything that happened since.

Don’t forget, EVERY move they made was to be overseen and given approval for by the United States Government. Nothing happens in the Gulf without federal approval.  So the Fed approved the “situation” that allowed the leak in the first place. We could just as easily say the leak was “federally approved” couldn’t we?

How did we get a President with no credentials, with no executive experience and one who is changing America to the antithesis of  it’s founder’s reasoning?  Well, he was “voted in.”  Meaning a majority of people were convinced he could do the job and that his “hope and change” would be meaningful.  Where did this “majority” of people get their ideas and their reasoning?  From the media.  And now we discover that same “media” was selling him to and audience that unquestionably believed everything they saw on TV and read in the papers.  In the end, the “elitists” were smarter than the “gullible” public.  And now we face a disaster never before encountered in this intensity in the history of the United states.  But now we discover JournoList … an “invite only” online discussion forum that allowed left-wing-leaning “journalists” to coordinate their support for Barack Hussein Obama and “sell him” to the gullible public.  Here are the names of people who were found on the JournoList.  Is your favorite “journolist” among them?  If so, then paint yourself gullible, you bought a faux deal.
