Flag
History
Reason Flown
US Flag The United States Flag

The USA flag is flown on US Holidays and special USA Days/Events. The flag is flown with reverence to the greatness of the U.S.A. … and to the Republic for which it stood. Also flown when Liberty is upheld and a red ribbon is sometimes added to the flagstaff. See The Ribbons.

SC Flag The S.C. State flag is flown on NON national holidays. Individual liberties are not being threatened, the Constitution is not under apparent attack today, and the Republic is “relatively” secure.
The Title of Liberty Flag is flown when Liberty overcomes Tyranny. When statist legislation is defeated, when the course of government is altered toward the enhancement of freedom and security, particularly when the reaction is because of the grass roots will of the people.
Ft Moultrie Flag The Ft. Moultrie Flag is flown when the national government puts an Individual Liberty, Freedom, Security or the Constitution at risk. Flown when an idea that threatens Liberty is in the Discussion Phase.
UnionJack The First Navy Union Jack flag flown when “actions” have been taken by the government which threaten Liberty, Freedom or the Security of the United States of America. (Bill proposed, etc)
The Gadsden flag is flown when I make a post concerning Taxes or Tea Party Activities.
The Sons of Liberty Flag is flown when Tyranny is successful over Liberty.  The Sons of Liberty 9 bar vertical flag is flown when a liberty, a freedom or our security is lost by an action of the government. A red ribbon is added to the flagstaff. (Descended from Civil Flag of US)

The Latest Patriot Flag = SC State Sovereignty Flag

SC State Sovereignty Flag

The South Carolina State Sovereignty flag is the latest addition to the collection. This is a colorful flag to fly and the flag I will be flying when we have State Sovereignty posts on The Patriot’s Flag.  We have had Two (1) and (2) posts so far and I am sure more will follow.  The history of this flag can be found in the Patriot’s Flag Gallery.

I fly this flag when I post a State Sovereignty or Nullification Post.

Blog Categories

The blog categories are showing at the right (right rail).  Based on the news I am posting and discussing, I choose a category for the blog.  Once chosen, I change the flag that flies off my front porch.  You can see real pictures of the various flags I fly at the Patriot’s Flag Gallery. If something “major” happens that either protects Liberty or jeopardizes it, a red or black ribbon is added to the flagstaff. (See The Ribbons)

Flying the USA Flag Up-Side-Down

As we all know, flying the USA flag “inverted” (or up-side-down) is a sign of distress.  Some people, being cute, are saying we are in such a difficult political time that we should fly this “distress signal.”  This is not yet “distress” … this is  a sign of “protest” and (MY opinion) the USA flag should never be inverted  in “protest”.  In real times of distress, … a ship sinking, death at hand in your house, etc … the signal is warranted. But to dishonor the USA flag to protest something as insignificant as the Obama Administration’s antics does a great dishonor to this great flag.  If you must protest … as I must … then pick a favorite “Patriot” flag and fly it on your flagstaff or flagpole. You will make your point and make your point with honor and a touch of history.

Bottom Line? It’s YOUR flag, you can do with it as you please, even burn it … the Supreme Court says that’s all “free speech.”  So forget the “rules” and “guidelines” … what are your personal moral guidelines … make your decision YOUR way. I have made mine, MY way.
